This is my sample for the theme of “BIRDS” on Joanne’s Inchie Swap this month, where she asked me to be Guest Artist. I absolutely LOVE making Inchies, and I love birds so this was fab to be asked!!

Used stampbord, distress inks and my new TH stamp as well. I had originally put diamond glaze over the top, but it soaked in the distress ink and you could only see the black!! Lesson learned there…lol

I can’t wait to see all of the bird inchies everyone makes, join in, even if you never made inchies before, once you do you’ll love it!

One Has Been Playing…..
February 23, 2008

title espeically for Emma there…. 😉

I’ve been playing with my alcohol inks and brand new stamps…..did I tell you these stamps are not available in the US till March, let alone the UK!! Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz they are, mini collages of the larger stamps, so obviously I had to have the tree and birds….lol

Also been playing with my daubers, and a new stamp I got today. I wanted a chandelier stamp ever since my pal Jo sent me something with a chandelier stamped on the envelope- I just thought WOW!! and wanted one. Obviously NOW that I have one, TH has a gorgeous chandelier on one of his new plates… typical, will still have to have it obviously. The swirl at the top is green utee, and that’s a shameless copy of one of Jo’s tags on her blog, the swirl part….lol.

The Box of Indecision….
February 23, 2008

 as named by Carrie….lol

This started life as a white creative expressions box. And since my Mum’s birthday was coming up I decided to alter it for her. First I decided on a stationary box, so bought gorgeous pens and made little notecards. Then I changed my mind and made it a make up box… bought some creams and make up….then I decided it could actually just be a jewellery box, and bought her new e-rings….lol so she got all of the pressies in one box, and loved it anyway. I think I’ll let her decide what it’s for… The little box on the top has a lock of Sophie’s hair in.

Tim Holtz Demo
February 21, 2008

WOW- was lucky to get a place at the Tim Holtz demo at Dawn Bibby’s design studio in Oswaldtwistle (470mile trip for me….lol) and seen Tim in action, can’t even do the day justice, it was just fab to see him doing what he does. Learned loads, gave him an altered slide mailer which he said was cool. And also got to meet the lovely JJ, Ms Bibby’s hubby- he is just the most gorgeous thing ever…..hehe….way more so irl than ever you see him on TV as well. They were all lovely, Dawn, JJ, Leonie, and Leonie had some ATCs on show and they were gorgeous, some really beautiful work. I don’t think QVC do them any justice, they are brill crafters. (sorry but it doesn’t come across on QVC at all……lol ) Was a brilliant day, and best of all, got to meet Anjie, we’ve known each other on forums for ages and ages, was great to meet someone who likes a laugh like me…… (not that we were giggling like teenagers or anything)

here’s some pics of the day, so so sick I didn’t get a pic of JJ, was just too shy to ask…..can you believe that??

Moo Challenge Site!!
February 8, 2008

(like NEW challenge site……MOO challenge site… ok I laughed)

anyway, Nellie has started a fab new challenge site for Fridays called Make a Moo or Two. I love this size to work on, and the first week’s theme is romance. I’m cheating a little, as I made these already for a swap, but my excuse is with moving home my house is still in a guddle and I can’t really craft atm. And I really wanted to enter, Nellie’s blog is one of my all time favourites, her craft is very inspiring. If you haven’t checked it out yet, what planet ARE you on??? lol

Romance Moos…..
